A long,
long, time ago, at Agincourt Collegiate, Dave & Dee met
- two grade 9 teenagers starting a struggle through high school.
They didn't care for each other much at first but started getting
to know each other a few years later. The friendship bloomed
quickly from there, and in grade 12, they started a relationship.
This relationship
would prove to be lasting and they celebrated graduation together;
having a great prom, and hoping that this high school sweet
heart relationship would last.

They survived
school separation as Dave went to Humber College and completed
a degree in Architectural Technology, and Dee went to the University
of Toronto. They survived lifestyle separation as Dave went
to work full time and Deirdre was still completing her Bachelors
of Business Administration. It helped quite a bit that their
parents lived a 5 minute walk from each other.
In the summer
of 2002, they found an odd little cat. Dee liked this strange
cat and started feeding her, hoping to one day keep her - on
Christmas day 2002, her parents finally gave in and "Sheeba"
became Dee & Dave's daughter. In March, 2003, Dave and Dee
were presented with grand-kittens and now have a rather large
feline family (Alphie, Chobie & Amber).
Over the
years, Dee & Dave have learned to do many things together
that keep their relationship strong. They play volleyball, they
white water raft, and they have a great time playing various
board games. Mostly though, Dee's ability to play and love golf
has kept Dave a very happy man.

In July
of 2007, Dave and Dee bought a house & they spent a bit
to renovate things (and the renovations continue on to this
day) to make a home for themselves and a life together.

On February
29, 2008, Dave & Dee had invited their families to a dinner
at the Old Scott House in Scarborough - under the guise of having
our families sit down and meet as no formal 'introduction' of
family to family had really ever been made. It was an interesting
day, with a horrible snowstorm, but thankfully everyone arrived
safe and sound, though a few hours late. Once everyone was there,
Dee walked into the room, followed by an officiate and Dave
& Dee said 'surprise!' - and got married.

They went
on a honeymoon in Punta Cana, Dee came back and moved into their
house and now
they live (mostly) happily together. Except,
they both realize while they didn't want all that wedding hoopla
- a party would still be pretty awesome, and thus
here
we are today.
